ANA Orders Eight Additional Embraer E190-E2s
Japan’s All Nippon Airways has placed an order for eight additional Embraer E190-E2 aircraft as part of its plans to respond more flexibly to future changes in domestic travel demand.
The order, approved by the board of ANA Holdings on July 29, is valued at approximately 105 billion yen, equivalent to around $642 million. Deliveries are scheduled to take place between fiscal year 2029 and 2032.
With the latest agreement, ANA’s E190-E2 commitment has increased to 23 firm orders and five options. The airline had previously announced an order in 2025 covering 15 firm aircraft and five options.
The new aircraft will be operated by ANA’s Tokyo-based codeshare partner IBEX Airlines. The flights will be operated by IBEX crews under ANA flight numbers.
The two carriers also plan to expand their existing codeshare agreement into a broader business partnership from 2029. The cooperation is expected to help ANA maintain its domestic network while enabling both airlines to use their resources more efficiently and improve operational efficiency.
IBEX Airlines currently operates a fleet of nine CRJ-700 aircraft, which are planned to be replaced by the new Embraer E190-E2s.
